hi there y’all!

it’s been forever since I’ve blogged….but no, I haven’t forgotten to write a new post…or been attacked & kidnapped by alians…or died of heat stroke. (; My life has been so, so crazy this summer! I’ve been nannying, working a few nights a week at a local sub shop, and I shot my first “big” wedding (eeeek! SO can’t wait to blog that!) and then started detasseling the next morning. Did that for 12 days straight. (12 days of getting up at 5 am…not your ideal summer. Unless you detassel, of course. (; )

SOOOOOO anyhow. Just thought I’d pop on & say hi, ask how everyone’s summer is going, and let you know to keep checking back. I’ve got some pretty fab posts coming up in the next few weeks & I’m really, reeeeeeaaally excited! (: Stay cool, enjoy august, & I’ll see you all again soon. (;

love always,

(pre-sneak peak of miss naomi!  haha. if that’s allowed?) (:

Sweet Summertime

As much as I love autumn, and winter…I love summer.

Summertime: warm winds, poolside chats, lemonade in a sweating glass, sunshine & tan-ness, birds singing, sleeping in. All that and more. I’m missing it a little right now.

But, I know that it’ll come around again next year, so for now..I’m going to enjoy the cooler weather, fall drinks and treats, and my sweatshirts. Bye-bye, butterfly…see you soon!

short & sweet :)

I haven’t done much lately as far as photography, but I did do a little bit along the lines of self-portraits. (; I’ll upload more later but here is my fave from that “shoot.”

I’m trying to space out my studying for finals, that is. (: So, this weekend I’ll possibly post my New Years Resolutions, but otherwise it might be somewhat sparse around here.

Peace. (;

New bedroom…ish.

My family is in the process of remodeling our house. So far, it hasn’t been too bad. Then came Monday Night.  Mr. A (our contractor) told us that my sister & I needed to move out of our room that night & into another.  We stayed up until 12:30, moving in the bunk bed and desks & such.  The first items I moved into the room was, of course, my clothing.  What I discovered was that I HAVE A LOT OF TSHIRTS.  I knew I had a lot, but, really?? Wow.  So, here are some photos of our “Room Transformation.”

So.  This is what I have been doing. (:  Got to say, though, I love being in a room with my sister.  And, for the record, I’m making a t-shirt blanket with a lot of my tshirts. So stay on the lookout for updates!

Snow, Ice & Everything…Nice?

So, its been a tough winter. But not necessarily for takin’ photos!

My sister makes it so easy to take photos. She’s GORGEOUS! Thanks, Clarissa (:

Merry (Post)Christmas

So, I’m not crazy about this new layout. I don’t like the way it displays my photos.  I probably should just give in to common sense and get myself a blogger account.  We shall see (:

For Christmas, my family went skiing in the most beautiful state of Colorado! It has been tradition to ski there every year for the past 10 or so years, and definitely one of our most treasured. Usually we go there over Spring Break, but since my sister & I have been put in the public school system, we can’t be too choosy!  It really was fun- we stayed in Winter Park and skied for 3 days. I took my camera but unfortunately didn’t take any photos in W.P. because by the time we got off the slopes, I was JUST TOO TIRED.  A good tired, though:)

Here are some photos from this December, with more to come soon! I really do promise to try & blog more, and share more about me & my dreams 🙂

Bowling for my Birthday 🙂

…and one more for kicks…

Two little bears want to wish you a safe & warm Boxing-Day night 🙂

Miss Miranda

Yesterday I had the privilege of spending some time with my lovely friend Miranda.  She is a sweetheart with such a love of the Lord (:  We started out by grabbing some yummy Peppermint Mochas from a favorite local coffee shop and socializing with some friends.  So many people were out and about!  Then we walked around on Main Street that was all dressed up in it’s holiday decor and window shopped. Finally, we got around to exploring around the train tracks and found some fun new favorite spots, where I did her photoshoot.  Here are some of the highlights!

She is a beauty!

Her expression here is kinda funny…. hahaha 🙂

THEN we stumbled across The Red Door.

Miranda has the cutest laugh!

Hmm, maybe she should go into modeling….

Not sure what this is….. a trailer? Hmm.

That’s about it for now. Hope that you had a blessed thanksgiving.
